Caitlin Jean Stasey
Caitlin Jean Stasey was born on 1st May, 1990 in Melbourne, Australia. She was grown up with her younger sister Victoria. Her parents David and Sally belong to Norwich, England. Her mother is a primary school drama teacher at Sandringham Primary School in Melbourne. She lived in Norwich till the age of seven. She studied in Star of the Sea College. When she was 10 years old, she travelled around the world as a member of the Australian Girls Choir and took part in a re-recording of Peter Allen's "I Still Call Australia Home", for a Qantas commercia in 2000. She made her career breakthrough in September 2003 starring as Francesca 'Frankie' Thomas, the self-appointed leader of the club in the children's TV series "The Sleepover Club". The character of Frankie in the second series of The Sleepover Club in 2006 was also performed by her. In April 2005, director Jan Russ after audition cast her as Rachel Kinski in Neighbours. After getting the part of Rachel, she left Star of the Sea College, but she continued to study on a distance education programme. She left the Neighbours in 2008, primarily to concentrate on her end of year VCE exams. She was cast in the movie When the War Began as the lead character Ellie Linton, an adaption of the teen novel, Tomorrow, in which sher performed as a teenage girl who documented her time with a group of friends fighting the invasion of Australia. She was linked to the live action film of video game/comic series Wonder Boy in 2008. In the same year she was cast in the Christmas pantomime Snow White at Norwich Theatre Royal. In 2013, she appeared in the American television series "Reign" as Kenna and in the independent comedy-horror film "All Cheerleaders Die" as Maddy. In 2014, she performed in the movie I, Frankenstein as Keziah. In 2007, she made a recording contract offered by Tom Nichols. In 2008, she voiced the song "I'm Yours", originally by Jason Mraz for her TV show. She also sang a duet in 2008, with fellow Dean Geyer, performed at the Erinsborough High School Formal. It was released to the Australian iTunes store and got number 40 on the ARIA Digital Tracks chart.
