Alexa Ellesse PenaVega 
Alexa Ellesse PenaVega was born on August 27, 1988 in Miami, Florida, U.S. Her father is Colombian and her mother Gina Rue is an American former model. She has six siblings. She moved to California with her family at the age of four. In 1996, she was cast as Jo Harding in Twister. She guest-starred in various television shows and films like ER (TV series) Follow the Stars Home, Ghost Whisperer and The Bernie Mac Show. She was worldwide recomgnized in 2001 for her role as Carmen Cortez in Spy Kids. The film was a huge success and it has two sequels, Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams and Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. She performed most of her own stunts in these movies. In July 2003, her film Vanity Fair was released and she was named one of that year's hottest teen celebrities. In 2004, she worked in two films: Sleepover and State's Evidence. In the later year she appeared in the Lifetime television film entitled "Odd Girl Out" and in Walkout. In 2006, she performed in Remember the Daze. Her next film Repo! The Genetic Opera was released in 2008. She appeared in lead role in Helix in the same year. She cast in Robert Rodriguez film Shorts in 2009. In that year she played Ruby Gallagher on the ABC Family television sitcom Ruby & The Rockits, alongwith Patrick and David Cassidy. She appeared as Wick in the 2012 film "The Devil's Carnival" and in the independent thriller, 2br/1ba. She was also cast in the Lifetime Channel movie The Pregnancy Project. She also voiced Christina in the animated series Unsupervised. She played the young heroine in Aerosmith's music video "Legendary Child". In 2013, she worked in the films 23 Blast, Machete Kills, Bounty Killer, Wicked Blood, The Remaining and The Hunters. She also appeared in the Big Time Rush series finale "Big Time Dreams". She recorded three songs as Carmen Cortez in the Spy Kids films. In 2010, she married to film producer Sean Covel in a ceremony held in his hometown and divorced him in 2012. She became engaged to actor and singer Carlos Pena, Jr in 2013 and married on January 4, 2014 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and changed their surname to PenaVega.
